Insight Global Automation Test Engineer in Sunnyvale, California

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for an Automation Test Engineer to join one of the world's leading social networking companies. This individual will be part of the Reality Labs organization which brings people around the world together through next generation Augmented, Mixed, and Virtual Reality. The main function of a Automation Test Engineer is to research, develop, and test high-density, industry-leading wearable electronics. The candidate will work with emerging technologies in a fast-paced team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Creating and maintaining python scripts and automated test system design for hardware validation

  • Improving automation systems and reporting with ADB devices.

  • Create and maintain automating electrical instrumentation for measuring and automatically creating reports.

  • Power Consumption measurement of various device use cases done in on-site lab environment

  • Monitoring test results, analyze data and correlate measurements against estimates

  • Debugging power regressions with respect to gathering device logs and implementing filtering mechanism to capture any red flags.

  • Ability to network, build relationships and drive effective decision-making across multiple functions and levels within the organization.

  • Highly organized, able to prioritize and balance multiple work streams to tight deadlines.

  • Strong analytical skills.

Pay range: $65-70/hr

Skills and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience

  • At least 3 years of experience working with and building automated lab instrument systems

  • At least 3 years of experience working with and building scripting programming for running ADB devices, Android devices and IOS devices

  • At least 3 years of experience with oscilloscopes, power supplies, power measurement equipments, DMMs

  • At least 3 years of experience working in a hardware research and development lab environment

  • At least 3 years of experience with SQL null
