Northrop Grumman's Office of the CIO is seeking an innovative and dynamic Information Technology Manager (T3) to support the Mission Systems Sector's Marine Systems Site Operations organization.
This role is based in Sunnyvale, CA, and requires a full-time onsite presence.
Site Operations includes the Facilities, Environmental Health and Safety, Security, Communications and Human Resources organizations. The ideal candidate will bring a diverse perspective to the team, enhancing the overall organizational experience with proven cross-functional team-building skills to address unique challenges.
In this role, you will be a key member of the Marine Systems CIO Program Office and serve as a vital link between the Office of the CIO and Marine Systems Site Operations. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the timely and cost-efficient delivery of all IT and cybersecurity services, as well as managing day-to-day activities and priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the technical quality, performance, budget, and schedule for IT/Cybersecurity aspects related to site operations. Ensure site operations adhere to sound technical processes in IT/Cybersecurity, in line with company policies, procedures, and quality standards. Additionally, lead non-recurring and recurring support activities across all site operations organizations.
Collaborate with site operations leadership, homeroom managers, and end user groups to identify, plan, implement, and sustain IT/Cybersecurity solutions that meet both strategic and tactical objectives.
This role requires a candidate with strong leadership skills and the ability to navigate complex cross-functional environments to achieve organizational goals.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of IT experience; or a master’s degree and 3 years of IT experience; or 2 years of IT experience with PhD.
Demonstrated experience in effectively communicating and interacting with a wide range of people ranging from very technical to non-technical, individual contributors up through vice presidents.
Customer Satisfaction and Continuous Improvement experience
Proven IT project management experience and demonstrated leadership skills, including planning, scheduling, team member career development. and workload forecasting.
Must have at least an active DoD Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree, or a master’s degree, in Information Systems, Systems Engineering, or Network Engineering (or similar STEM related discipline) is preferred.
A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Project Manager with knowledge in cost, budgets, and schedules
Familiarity with Facilities, Environmental Health and Safety, Security, Communications and Human Resources organizations is a plus
Previous Enterprise Services Program Manager experience.
Experience with Agile based practices and Lean Six Sigma methodology.
Understanding of Continuous Improvement concepts, processes, and tools.
Results-oriented team player, with the ability to handle a rapidly changing set of projects and priorities while maintaining a strong professional presence.
Customer-focused with proven leadership and excellent communication skills with ability to drive cross functional teams to action when working in a matrix organization.
Self-starter who works quickly and effectively, can get up to speed with program processes quickly and enjoys a fast paced, dynamic environment.
Entrepreneurial spirit, and ability to effectively challenge the status quo while providing innovative solutions to complex IT requirements Program Management
Salary Range: $110,300 - $165,500
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
