Key job responsibilities
On this role you will:
Be responsible for system architecture and development for new product initiatives and feature development.
Investigate, prototype and deliver new and innovative system solutions.
Troubleshooting technical issues to ensure the success of new product launches, peeling through different layers of software stacks to root cause and solve the problems.
Work in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high quality software. Establish architectural principles, select design patterns and then mentor team members on their appropriate application.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
Strong proficiency in one of the compiled programming languages: Java, C++, or Rust.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
Knowledge of Operating Systems internals, Hands-on experience with device development using Android or Linux.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $151,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $261,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
