Amazon Sr. UX Designer, Identity and Personalization in Sunnyvale, California
Description
Do you want to have a direct impact on customer experiences driven by Amazon's latest general intelligence models? The Identity and Personalization team is seeking a Sr. UX Designer to own on visual and conversational experiences. You will work side-by-side with designers, researchers, product, and engineering to identify, define, and implement solutions that raise the bar on new general intelligence driven customer experiences. We’re looking for candidates who are passionate about innovating on behalf of customers, comfortable with creating new design paradigms, demonstrate a high degree of ownership, and want to have fun while they make history in this new and exciting area of innovation.
Key job responsibilities
Create world-class, customer-centric visual and conversational designs through consideration of market research, business requirements, customer feedback, and usability study findings
Demonstrate leadership in driving design processes into the organization that help refine strategy.
Design the architecture, interface, and interaction flow of voice and visual experiences, mobile applications, and embedded screens.
Develop conceptual diagrams, wireframes, visual mockups, and prototypes
Develop and maintain detailed user-interface specifications
Present design work to the user experience team, product team, and leadership for review and feedback.
Work with our usability and data science teams to assess and optimize new and existing features.

You will spend each day working dynamically across design, product, science, and engineering to pioneer new general intelligence driven visual and conversational design patterns.

Basic Qualifications
6+ years of design experience
Experience in delivering design solutions for projects of large scope and complexity
Have an available online portfolio
Experience with design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign and prototyping in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Ajax
Preferred Qualifications
Experience applying scrum to visual or UX design processes
Experience with UX design of complex workflows
Knowledge of usability principles and techniques

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $113,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $211,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
