The program provides new grads with a broad understanding of Cenovus\'s core business through challenging work assignments, training and development, field exposure and the opportunity to develop a large network of contacts through networking and mentorship opportunities. Our Program consists of three consecutive 12-month rotational assignments that span the US Cenovus\'s varied business areas. Rotational future assignments could include Process Engineer, Environmental, PSM, I&E reliability, Optimization & Coordination engineering. Upon completion of the three-year program, you will be matched to a permanent role within the organization. This role will be based on business needs and relocation may be required. Responsibilities: The Engineer-in-Training Role will have multiple responsibilities in their rotations, each rotation will have a focus in a particular area inside the facility: First Rotation: Process Engineering * Support Operations Dept through troubleshooting efforts and providing technical guidance and assistance * Executing the Management of Change process to improve refinery Safety, Reliability and Profitability * Use of Process Unit Monitoring Tools to monitor and track operational performance Second Rotation: Economics and Planning * Planning of shipments of feedstocks and products to support the operation of the refinery * Production planning of refinery process units and development of production targets * Participation in Value Chain Optimization and Planning efforts to improve Third Rotation: * Support Operations team with Control System troubleshooting and support * Develop and test new control schemes through the Management of Change Process * Support deployment of Advanced Process Control Schemes Program Benefits: * Customized three-year rotational schedule at assigned US site with the opportunity to visit other US sites. * Safety training and full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided * Tailored training program * Competitive salary and benefits package * Relocation assistance * Professional membership fee reimbursement Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications: * Legally entitled to work in the US * Available to begin work June 2024 * Must have an undergraduate engineering degree in Chemical Engineering or Electrical Engineering obtained by May 31, 2024, and completed within the last 2 years (2022, 2023, 2024). * Must be enrolled in, or a graduate of an engineering program recognized by ABET (US Engineering Accreditation Board) * A minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA from a post-secondary program is required. * Previous Cenovus Energy or Husky Energy student experience is an asset * A clean, valid Class D Driver\'s License with no restrictions is required (for engineering) * During the three-year program you will be expected and must be willing to relocate to any of Cenovus\'s operating sites for your rotations and/or your end-of-program placement This posting will close April 26, 2024 @ 11:59 PM MT For this position you will be required to maintain a US Driver\'s license, a satisfactory driving record, and adhere to the appropriate Company policies and guidelines.
