As a Heavy Truck Salesperson, you will be responsible for generating new business and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients in the heavy truck industry. Your primary goal will be to meet or exceed sales targets by promoting and selling our range of heavy trucks to fleet operators, trucking companies, and other commercial entities. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a deep knowledge of heavy trucks, and a proven track record of sales success. Assists customers in selecting/ordering trucks and components which suit their business needs Understands and complies with federal, state, and local regulations that affect the sale of heavy-duty vehicles Actively finds new and existing prospects either by telephone or by making calls to individuals and businesses outside the dealership Provides follow-up and ongoing service to existing customers. Offers service to all walk-in and call-in customers on assigned floor days Delivers new trucks, explaining new-truck warranty and service policies Studies truck and equipment specifications to improve knowledge of product performance and application continually Appraises used trucks when necessary Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
