UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN- SUPERIOR Visiting Lecturer of Legal Studies in SUPERIOR, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: JOB ID: 20784 POSITION: Visiting Lecturer. IC036, 100%, Instructional Academic Staff, Terminal, 9-month appointment 2024-2025 academic year with possibility of renewal, one vacancy. POSITION SUMMARY: Designs and facilitates classroom, online, and/or laboratory instruction within an academic discipline to ensure quality delivery of instruction and integration of content within an academic work unit. Provides for-credit instruction in formats such as classroom, online and/or laboratory settings, including grading. Serves as an instructor of record. Advises students, facilitates course assessment, and may supervise student employees. Provides service as a contributing member of the department. As the premiere and only four-year Legal Studies and Criminal Justice Program in the Northland region, we are dedicated to preparing students for careers and advanced studies in the areas of law, criminal justice, and beyond. We are seeking applicants for a Visiting Lecturer position, with a specialized focus in either Legal Studies or Criminal Justice who demonstrate a commitment to student learning and development. The ideal Legal Studies applicant will have a strong background in areas such as constitutional law, legal theory, civil rights, or international law. The ideal Criminal Justice applicant will have expertise in areas such as criminal law, corrections, or juvenile justice.
