Description
Robert Half is seeking a Staff Accountant for Healthcare office in Susanville, California for a contract to hire employment opportunity. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a crucial role handling tasks such as bank reconciliations, maintaining general ledger, and preparing detailed reports for the board of directors.
Responsibilities:
• Handle all aspects of bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all financial activities are recorded accurately.
• Prepare and present detailed financial reports to the Board of Directors.
• Monitor and track all grant activities awarded to the organization.
• Accurately prepare journal entries for recording in the accounting software.
• Review monthly financial activities to identify and accrue necessary expenses.
• Maintain up-to-date written documentation of all processes and duties.
• Utilize Sage Software to perform accounting tasks and manage financial information.
• Handle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) operations.
• Ensure the accurate and efficient closing of accounts at the end of each month.

Requirements
• Must possess a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience as a Staff Accountant or similar role.
• In-depth knowledge and experience in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is required.
• Proficiency in Bank Reconciliations is essential.
• Must have a strong understanding of the General Ledger.
• Experience with Journal Entries is necessary.
• Familiarity with Month End Close procedures is required.
• Proficiency in Sage Software is a must.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Must have strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
• A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field is preferred.
• Must have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex problems are necessary.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is required.
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
• Experience with financial reporting and financial statement preparation is preferred.
• Must be able to meet deadlines and handle pressure in a fast-paced environment.
