Microsoft 365 Copilot is a groundbreaking productivity tool that leverages the power of large language models, user data, Microsoft Graph, and the web to drive unparalleled creativity and productivity. At the heart of this innovation is the Office Artificial Intelligence (AI) team, which plays a crucial role in the development of Copilot Core Platform and Capabilities across M365. This spans from the chat experience to the middle-tier service that runs AI-powered workflows and horizontal skills, and extends across Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and many partners across Microsoft. 

We are looking for a S enior Software Engineer to take on a role that offers the chance to engage in development. As part of this role, you will have the opportunity to drive innovation and influence the development of the One Microsoft orchestrator, be responsible for bringing in new capabilities and skill to App Chat Copilot, ensuring the delivery of a world-class experience through the optimization and iteration of the performance and reliability of the entire system at scale or be responsible for driving new scenarios and features unlocked by fast paced advances in Large Language Models (LLMs) and variety of new language model.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with other members of the leadership team to leverage data insights and strategy to shape technical direction.

  • Own and deliver complete features, including design, architecture, implementation, testability, debugging, and shipping. 

  • Mentor and grow other engineers through code reviews and design feedback or operating as a project lead.

  • Foster a culture of being agile, innovative, team-oriented and customer-focused.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years’ experience with problem solving, debugging, and troubleshooting code.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science OR related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript,OR Python

  • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • Cross-discipline and cross group collaboration skills.

  • Passion for customers, design thinking, data analysis, and technology.

  • Experience in debugging and diagnosing web or service issues.

  • Experience in shipping high-quality products a plus.
