Description:
Education and/or Experience
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and holding a current license to practice vocational nursing in the State of Texas.
(1) year of experience in clinical informatics, customer support and training in EMR technologies (e.g., EMR Applications), and experience working with MS Windows, PCs, and EMR Application management. A thorough understanding of client/patient confidentiality issues/HIPAA compliance/regulations is essential. Previous experience with Electronic Medical Records (Evident/CPSI) or application support would be a definite advantage.
The Clinical Informatics Specialist Assistant will be responsible under the supervision of the Clinical Informatics Specialist for analyzing informatics issues, improving customization and configuration, and contribute to improving workflow processes with new elements related to the EHR that are clinical in nature.
