TLM Constructors Project Foreman in SWINK, Colorado

Project Foreman Project Foremen are a core piece to the success of TLM Constructors. As a Foreman you are responsible for the overall outcome of Safety, Quality, Production and Customer Satisfaction on each of our projects. Foremen are the "Hands On" leaders of the TLM Constructors work force. Depending on the size of the project you are working on your responsibilities will vary. On smaller projects ranging in contract amounts of $500,000 and less, the below outlined list will be required of you. However, on projects larger than $500,000 a Project Superintendent will most likely be assigned to that project and a portion of the responsibilities listed below will be shared with the Project Superintendent. This structure is necessary on larger projects because more effort will be needed in organization and communication. Generally more than one Forman will be assigned to larger projects. Items 1, 2, 3 and 4 will always be the responsibility of the Foreman. If there is a Project Superintendent assigned to the project you are working on, the Foreman will always report first to the Project Superintendent. Daily Responsibilities 1) Be Prepared a) Safety, Quality, Production and Customer Satisfaction! b) Complete your DRA's. c) Study the project plans and think ahead. d) Have supplies your crew will need in advance of that day's work. Know today and have ready what you will need tomorrow. 7:00 am tomorrow is too late! 2) Communicate a) Call if you have a concern or a question. The General and or Project Superintendent is there to assist and support you with issues so that you can maintain productivity. b) Email your Superintendent, General Superintendent and Project Manager at the end of your shift with progress, issues and needs. This communication helps keep our schedules on track and is vital to a profitable project. Technology is great, but only if we use it! 3) Take care of your equipment. Daily fueling, greasing and general maintenance is an operator's responsibility; it's your responsibility to make sure the operator does it. If repairs or service is needed report that need to the maintenance facility you are closest to in addition to the Superint 4) You are a leader so act like one! a) Be confident but willing to listen and learn. b) Be professional and courteous to not only your other team members but also our customer or their representative. c) Be able and willing to make a decision to the best of your ability and accept responsibility. d) Seek advice from your team members or management if you need it. e) Always be willing to learn, you are a Foreman because you are gaining the experience you need to be TLM Constructors next Superintendent. 5) Organize and accurately code receipts for submittal to the office. 6) Record Daily Quantities of work completed and provide them to the General Superintendent. Daily! 7) Review time cards for accuracy and approve them. 8) Report any employee issues on company forms such as Absentee or Counseling Forms. Issues and bad habits cannot and will not be corrected if we don't track and inforce a corrective action. 9) Attend weekly project meetings. If the Project or General Superintendent is not able to attend the weekly meeting, the Foreman's attendance is mandatory. If your work schedule allows, attend the meeting with the Superintendent so that you are informed and gain the experience of what is required of your participation should you be the only attendee from our organization at the next meeting.
