Amazon Business Analyst - Automation in Sydney, Australia

Description

Amazon is seeking a highly motivated Business Analytics and Automate specialist to provide insightful seller analytics and process efficiency that improves Seller experience. This role is strategically positioned within our Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) team who handle millions of items from tens of thousands of Sellers. Their teams' objective is to ensure our partners products reach customers on time, and as sellers they enjoy the full benefit of Amazons fulfillment process. The role of Business Analyst - Automation plays a critical role in improving efficiency of the team by automating mundane tasks and creating team bandwidth to solve challenging problems shaping future of eCommerce in AU.

This role is ideal for Business Intelligence specialists who seek a transition into a program management career pathway. You will become a subject matter expert in our operational data, supporting the broader team by providing insightful analytics which better drive operational and or customer decision making. You will own key departmental programs which require strong data acumen end-to-end such as automation projects and forecasting improvement. You will have the full support of our local Business Intelligence team as well as access to global analytics team to share best practices.

Key job responsibilities

  • Become a subject matter expert in FBA data.

  • Create Datanet jobs to automate FBA tickets resolution.

  • Identify business needs and improvements in order to track the right metrics and ensure they are reported.

  • Develop the next-generation data and analytics infrastructure to support FBA growth with data insights and improve seller experience.

  • Manage and execute large project components from start to finish, including data collection and manipulation, synthesis and modelling, problem solving, and communication of insights and recommendations.

  • Write high-quality SQL code to retrieve and analyze data, as well as learn and understand a broad range of Amazon’s data resources.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of SQL experience

  • Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets

  • Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results

  • Experience with AWS technologies

  • Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.

  • Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning and data mining

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs

  • Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership
