Where the PropTrack team fits in

REA is evolving how it leverages data and technology to deliver benefits for customers. PropTrack provides property data, insights and technical platform solutions to customers in financial, government, and other key industries.

It is the core knowledge centre for identifying and developing solutions to meet customer strategic objectives and thus drive the priorities of the entire PropTrack business.

What the role is all about

The Product Manager, Data Partnerships role entails overseeing data acquisition activities, managing third-party relationships and contracts, and ensuring compliance with data usage terms and licensing agreements. The role also involves establishing frameworks for data governance, identifying and mitigating data risks, and maintaining key data registers and assessments.

The responsibilities of the role include:

  • Assess complimentary data sets and accountable for data acquisition activities

  • Manage 3rd party supplier / vendor contracts and relationships

  • Be the SME on each data asset’s terms of use

  • Establish frameworks and processes to ensure compliance to licence agreements

  • Assist in identifying, defining and categorising data risks and their mitigations

  • Lead, own and co-ordinate each annual compliance audit

  • Responsible for maintaining the Critical Data Register and Data Valuation Assessments

  • Working with data teams across REA Group, contributing to and championing data governance, ensuring appropriate data frameworks are adopted

  • Build strong working relationships and be the trusted partner across REA Group Product, Risk & Compliance and Tech & Engineering teams, as well as PropTrack Product, Commercial and Engineering teams

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure data ingestion, provision and consumption complies with all licensing requirements

  • Manage business relationships and engagement with existing partners and third parties

  • Have strong awareness of data governance, risk, compliance and security landscape and engage with these stakeholders to ensure we are meeting all requirements

Who we’re looking for

  • An experienced professional with a passion for data, you would ideally have 7+ years experience working in a commercial data environment

  • Demonstrated experience managing large complex data sets

  • Demonstrated experience commercialising data

  • Demonstrated experience implementing and operationalising processes

  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with business and technical stakeholders

  • Understanding and implementation of data governance frameworks (e.g. DMBoK)

  • Ability to analyse, understand and extract value from data assets

  • Property domain knowledge is highly desirable
