Citigroup Senior Project Manager - Funds Services - C13 - SYDNEY in Sydney, Australia
We are looking for senior Project/Program Manager within Securities Services Operations who will lead client, mandatory and regulatory initiatives within Fund Services business. This role is critical in helping to onboard new clients, shape and drive process and technology change across the group. Role requires great analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication, senior stakeholder management and diplomacy skills are required as much as ability to regularly assume informal/formal leadership role within teams. Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization. High professionalism is expected on this role since our clients are international investment institutions of global presence on the markets.
Job Description
Lead, strategize, coordinate and successfully implement multiple projects/programs across Operations, in cooperation with our Product, Technology partners and for/with our clients;
Formulate detailed project plans, analysis of effort, cost and impact on various Citi businesses to ensure timely execution and mitigate potential risks;
Support in analysis & oversight of proposed system changes to assure smooth projects implementation;
Build and manage an effective project team, adhere to and improve project processes and alignment with project audit requirements;
Challenge the status quo, display initiative and innovation;
Take proactive actions targeted at early identification, minimization and mitigation implementation risk;
Ensure that all mandatory and necessary project artefact are maintained, stored and all necessary approvals for the project are obtained;
Act as a trusted partner to Clients and internal business partners;
Display appropriate involvement in Department strategic planning;
Drive improvement and competitive differentiation by proposing and implementing innovative solutions.
Job requirements for Senior Project Manager
At least 8 years of experience in Project Management or in operational improvements areas (e.g. Lean, reengineering programs); expertise in project methodologies and tools
Experience in driving projects with external clients; strong cross functional Senior Stakeholder management – both internal and external.
Experience of working with asset management clients on a variety of investment fund vehicles (e.g. Trusts, Segregated Mandates, Insurance, Superannuation) or Securities Services operations (desirable);
Ability to influence the clients directly;
Ability to work in fast paced environment under tight contractual deadlines;
A strong understanding of financial markets and instruments coupled with an eagerness to grasp Citi Operations business knowhow;
Understanding of PMBOK standard and/or PMP certification is advantageous;
Excellent command of English with the ability to communicate effectively with peers and stakeholders in APAC, EMEA and other global regions;
Strong analytical skills;
Proven ability to independently prioritize tasks and manage own capacity.
