About the role:

This role aims to streamline operational processes, help with data management, and ensure regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include business as usual (BAU) tasks, business units’ production support, and assisting in change requests and projects to gather requirements and deliver results.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Perform BAU daily and monthly jobs.

  • Provide product and operational/business support, particularly on the core banking systems.

  • Manage minor local business change requests and projects.

  • Participate in the Head Office major projects like system upgrades, implementation, and process reengineering.

  • Gather user requirements, analyse and provide business solutions.

  • Coordinate training and/or workshops.

  • Perform data analysis and support report or data creation for business.

  • Enhance End-User-Computing tool like MS Excel and Access with macro development and testing.

What we are looking for:

Essential:

  • 3+ years banking operations and banking product experience.

  • Product knowledge in payments, loans, and deposits.

  • Strong understanding of banking regulations and compliance requirements.

  • Sound operational knowledge of processes and procedure.

  • Skill in data analysis tools such as MS Access, and Excel VBA code, and SQL.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable:

  • Strong Background in IT and data analysis/management

  • Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI

  • Experience in AU IFTI-International Funds Transfer Instructions transactions and NZ PTR-Prescribed Transaction Reports

  • Experience with IBM Cognos platform

  • Experience in data analysis, governance, and management

As the successful candidate, you will have excellent time management and a high level of attention to detail and accuracy to ensure team performs at high performance standard. You’ll deliver extraordinary customer experiences, collaborate and build partnerships, communicate effectively and professionally, drive for results, lead change and seek continuous improvements, think strategically.

You’ll likely have a Bachelor’s degree in Banking/Finance or a related field.
