SUNY Upstate Medical University Clinical Laboratory Technologist Coordinator in Syracuse, New York
Job Summary:
Perform various hematology and/or chemistry automated, semi-automated and manual procedures as defined by the CP Core Lab procedure manual. Will assume the responsibility as lead technologist of differentials and cell counts. Duties include equipment/method troubleshooting, supply inventory, writing and reviewing procedures, training new staff and students in conjunction with supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
NYS Licensed/eligible to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist, a Master's Degree in one of the chemical, physical, or biological sciences, with two years of Clinical Laboratory experience focusing in Hematology and/or Chemistry OR NYS Licensed/eligible to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist, and a minimum of four years of Clinical Laboratory experience focusing in Hematology and/or Chemistry, Ability to distinguish colors required.
Preferred Qualifications:
ASCP Specialty in Hematology.
Work Days:
Monday through Friday, Days with rotating weekends and holidays
