Science Academies of New York in Syracuse, NY seeks a High School Mathematics Teacher at its Syracuse NY school.Specifically, the duties of a High School Mathematics Teacher will include the following:· Instruct students using various teaching methods, such as lectures and demonstrations, using audio- visual aids and other materials to supplement presentations. · Prepare mathematics course objectives and outlines for courses of study following curriculum guidelines and school requirements.· Assign lessons and correct homework, administer tests to evaluate student progress and keepattendance records.· Meet with parents to discuss progress and problems as needed.· Participate in faculty and professional meetings, educational conferences, and teacher trainingworkshops.· Perform related duties, such as sponsoring student activities or student organizations.· Assist students in selecting courses of study, and counseling students in academic progress.This position requires a bachelor’s in Mathematics, Education, or a related field and 2 yrs. experience as a High School Math Teacher. Sal. $60,990./yr.
