($5,000 sign on bonus offered by our client!)HVAC Technician essential tasks:
- Perform thorough preventative maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems, including inspecting and servicing belts, pulleys, condensate lines, compressors, burners, and heat exchangers.
- Conduct general repairs on steam/hot water boilers, diagnose airflow and ducting issues, and ensure EPA-compliant use of refrigerants.
- Address mechanical, electrical, and system failures, including components like circuit boards, compressors, and leaks, with expertise in copper brazing.
- Carry out minor plumbing, electrical, painting, and carpentry maintenance to keep facilities in excellent condition.
- Utilize technology to manage work orders, create reports, and submit timesheets, expense logs, and purchase card logs.
- Communicate consistently with clients and internal teams, provide project estimates, and maintain customer satisfaction.
- Complete required safety and compliance training, attend safety meetings, and perform additional duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of HVAC/general maintenance experience, including electrical, plumbing, and carpentry, or equivalent education and training in building trades.
- Proficient in reading technical documents, writing reports, using basic computer systems, and communicating effectively with customers and associates.
- Skilled in chiller operations, various HVAC equipment, Building Automation Systems (BAS), and energy management systems.
- Experienced in preventive maintenance for HVAC controls, Raised Floor AC systems, and maintaining facility records and reports.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to oversee subcontractors and complete daily tasks efficiently.
