SUNY Upstate Medical University Mental Health Therapy Aide * in Syracuse, New York
Job Summary:
Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, the Mental Health Therapy Aide is responsible in a support role for the care and treatment of psychiatric patients. The Mental Health Therapy Aide functions as a participating member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team and assists in the implementation of treatment plans.
Minimum Qualifications:
For consideration for this title, you must meet all of the following minimum qualifications:
1: Graduated from high school or have earned a high school equivalency diploma (such as a GED)
Preferred Qualifications:
Have one (1) year of full-time direct patient care experience working in a mental health setting.
Work Days:
Schedule based on 40 hour work week. Evening shift; every other weekend and holidays
