Responsibilities:
Ensure accrediation is met with ACOTE
Ensure students meet course, program and institutional outcomes
Ensure all documentation, reporting, and instructional activities are in compliance with all standards, competencies, policies, and guidelines as set forth by program accreditors and Bryant & Stratton College
Teach minimum of 2 classes as required
Meet program, retention, and graduation goals
Represent program at open houses, high school events, new student orientations, student recognition ceremonies, etc., and assist in student recruitment activities
Facilitate the hiring, scheduling, and evaluation of subject-area instructors
Work closely with academic advisors and faculty to ensure student needs are addressed within and outside of the classroom
Perform academic advisement duties as assigned
Develop and monitor course materials and grade and attendance reports to ensure course outcomes are met and rigor upheld
Provide coaching, training, and information to program area faculty
Recruit Advisory Board members and coordinate meetings
Build and maintain relationships with area employers and business connects
Serve on college committees as needed
Other responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
The Program Director must have a minimum of 5 years of documented experience in the field of occupational therapy. This experience must include:
Clinical practice as an occupational therapist or occupational therapy assistant.
Administrative experience including, but not limited to, program planning and implementation, personnel management, evaluation, and budgeting.
Scholarship (e.g. scholarship of application, scholarship of teaching and learning)
Understanding of and experience with occupational therapy assistants
At least 2 years of experience in a full-time academic appointment with teaching responsibilities at the post-secondary level
Master’s degree required (in field preferred).
Current OTA or OTR license required.
In-field non-teaching experience work required; supervisory experience at a substantive level strongly preferred
Prior experience with the academic accreditation process preferred
Teaching experience or aptitude
Exceptional leadership, facilitation, and written and oral communications skills
Demonstrated competence in developing others, maintaining confidentiality, managing detail, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong team player with demonstrated ability to forge supportive partnerships within and between departments
Knowledge of computer software and research databases
Demonstrated commitment to professional development and student success
Commitment to continuous curriculum enhancement and application of best practices
Ability to make meaningful and positive connections with a diverse student body in a career college environment
SALARY:
$110,000-115,000

The selected candidate’s actual base pay for this role will take into account a wide range of non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. At Bryant & Stratton College, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. Information about the total compensation package for this position will be provided during the interview process.
