Job Description

Position Summary:

The Manager, Project Management plays a key role in the success of any Transition or non-Transition venture. To be successful in this role, you should possess various skillsets such as, Project Manager, Change Lead, Problem Solver, effective Business Partner and Master Organizer. You will manage the Program Transition & Business teams, dealing with the complexity of migrating various Functions, People, Processes and Technology. The role of the Manager, Project Management begins as soon as the company is considering the migration of a function, and you will be responsible for managing the activities to deliver the Business Case for the program, enabling the decision to migrate. The successful candidate will support the transition of activities to our GBS centres, globally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for delivering the Service Delivery Model by translating customer requirements (As Is State) into the Future State, by completing:

  • Process & FTE Analysis, Process Flows, To Be Org Structure, Hiring Plan

  • Organize, lead and facilitate Process Design Workshops with key Stakeholders

  • Prepare and manage end to end Transition Plan (Project Plan), aligning it with Enabling Technology delivery program plan, collaborating with horizontal workstreams to address workstream interdependencies

  • Track deliverables and provide regular reports on transition status to project team and key stakeholders, managing and adjusting for any changes in scope or schedule

  • Responsible for the development & Implementation of the Interaction Model

  • Manage Knowledge Transfer development & execution through to Hyper-care support, with Business, Operational teams, IT, and other functions

  • Work with GBS Recruiters to ensure that the adequate numbers of the required resources are recruited timely and a proper pipeline is in place

  • Collaborate with horizontal workstreams to address workstream interdependencies through transition

  • Responsible for managing the end to end deliverables from the “Pitch” to “Catch” sites, through to steady-state, and consequent handover/sign off to the GBS Operations Lead within the agreed timeframe & criteria

  • Managing the relationship and communications with stakeholders, ensuring the transition is delivered to satisfaction

  • Support in the development/coaching/ of the GBS Design & Implementation team members

  • Strong workshop facilitation skills, including the ability to communicate difficult or complex messages in a measured and clear manner

  • Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements from internal and external customers, establishing and maintaining effective relationships

  • Make decisions in a timely manner, based upon mixture of analysis, wisdom, experience and judgement

  • Good at directing others, setting stretching objectives, brings the best out in people and is a good communicator. Practices attentive and active listening

  • Can effectively cope with change and can comfortably deal with risk and uncertainties

  • Have interpersonal savvy, good negotiating skills, problem solving abilities and the ability to learn on the fly

  • Knowledgeable about how organizations work and knows how to get things done both through formal channels and the informal network

  • Pursue everything with energy, drive and a need to finish, seldom gives up before finishing, especially in the face of resistance or setbacks

  • Advanced MS Excel skills to collate, present and analyse large amounts of complex data.

  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office applications, including Word, Project, PPT, Visio and Outlook

Key Measures:

  • Ensure project readiness achieved - New processes documented. Deliver timely organizational ramp-up with accurate FTE numbers, capabilities and test results

  • Knowledge Transfer completed by migration teams (% KT completed vs. planned)

  • Migration effectiveness (Hyper-care exit) - How effective are the migrations handled

  • Relationship and communications Management with stakeholders, ensuring the transition is delivered to satisfaction

  • Post Migration Performance Management

Education & Experience:

  • 4+ years as a Service Design & Implementation Manager with excellent service management experience in one or more of the business processes: Finance, HR, Customer Service

  • Advanced engagement, communication and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage conflicting priorities

  • Travel is required

  • Results oriented with strong analytical skills, highly energetic

  • Very Customer Focused with the ability to identify and understand the (internal and or/external) customer’s needs

Strong written and spoken English – additional European language an advantage
