UL, LLC Sales Executive, Software (风能软件) in Taipei City, Taiwan

UL is currently seeking for a software sales executive based either in Taiwan or in mainland China. As a member of the sales team will be responsible to grow the renewables digital customer base in the country in China, Taiwan, Korea and Japan.

  • Sell Renewables Digital portfolio (Openwind, Windographer, Homer, RRAP, Wind Developer Suite, wind resource data and maps, API’s) to potential clients : developers, utilities, IPP’s, engineering firms and OEMs.

  • Mix of inbound and outbound activities to expand the digital customer base in the Region.

  • Identify prospective new customers and work with software product leads to establish positive business relationships with them and present the complete software suit.

  • Introduce and present the different portfolio product offering to potential customers as well as follow up with them trials and other inbound leads and requests with the goal to close sales.

  • Contributes to the development of strategy for their assigned specialized Software products /services by providing input on customer needs, pain points, trends, etc. to product / service manager

  • Serves as main point of client contact for specialty Software products / services throughout sales cycle

  • Specific to the customer’s current technology platforms and systems, communicates value proposition of assigned specialty products / services to clients based on highly technical knowledge

  • Maintains ongoing relationships after initial sale has closed in order to effectively convert software renewals

  • Actions on opportunities to sell specialty Software product / services

  • Works with account managers on discovery and opportunity identification for assigned specialty products / services

  • Collaborates with Solution Architects in gathering customer requirements

  • Serves as primary point of contact for specialty products / services, responsible for articulating value proposition and managing client interactions

  • Brings in additional technical resources (e.g., engineers) when needed to support sales opportunities of assigned specialty products / services

  • Provides input to account owner during account planning process on potential growth opportunities within assigned solution area

  • Makes connections and builds trusted advisor status with relevant account owners

  • Provide client feedback and requests to the Openwind, Windographer and Data product teams

  • Coordinate with sales and marketing teams the daily sales activities.

  • Collaborate with counterparts in other segments to identify and exploit synergies from existing clients. Establish regular channels of communication.

  • Attend regular departmental and team meetings; participate as appropriate in regular industry groups such as required.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Understanding of Wind Resource Assessment tools, software or methods in the context of energy assessments, windmaps and wind modeling software or similar (Meteodyn, WindPro, Vortex, etc)

  • More than two years of past experience in the Renewables Energy sector either in other renewable consulting firms, developers or technical universities.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate.

  • Fluency in English

  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook), and CRM software

  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets

  • Business acumen and deep understanding of business sales processes

  • Work effectively with colleagues to ensure timely delivery of high quality proposals;

  • Ability to maintain good relationships with clients;

  • Self-starter with ability to schedule and prioritize tasks and commitments;

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the renewable industry for more than 5 years

  • Client facing experience
