Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience with software development in C++ or Go, and with data structures/algorithms.
3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
3 years of experience with developing infrastructure, distributed systems, or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.
Preferred qualifications:
Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
Ability to work effectively at both the big-picture level and in the small details.

Design, prototype, implement, and test APIs and large-scale distributed backend systems to deploy, protect, configure, and schedule Node Software across Google’s production fleet.
Work closely with Site Reliability Engineering to proactively ensure quality and performance.
Gather requirements from component maintainers, service owners, release coordinators, and other stakeholders, and create innovative tools and solutions to make their jobs easier and move key metrics.
Be a key player in the deployment of the latest custom-built Google hardware, and in all phases of the machine fleet lifecycle, from turning up to repairs to decommission.
