Supply Chain Operations Management (SCOM) organization within CSCP manages Business Operations performance and supply of hardware for the data centers. Well-defined and executed sourcing and supply chain management ensures reliable on-time performance, optimized cost, prevents urgent and unplanned investments, and provides accurate and timely information across the supply base and internally across the infrastructure organization. The role of Supply Chain Manager will help develop and manage processes and capabilities that enable the supply chain operations team to meet the financial goals, increase delivery time and reduce cycle time.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be an individual contributor responsible for enhancing tier-2 material supportability management, inventory data validation and strategies across the Supply Chain Operations (SCOM) function of Microsoft’s Azure Cloud.

  • Work with internal partners on ensuring tier-2 material inventory supply for server hardware across the Systems Integration (SI) Partners

  • Program management of tier-2 key commodity transition plan and align with internal teams and SI partners on the NPI, multiple sources, EOL plan, etc.

  • Development of tier-2 material supply metrics with tier-2 material management teams, including server, networking, storage, etc. to ensure sufficient warehouse replenishment

  • Drive continuous performance and process improvements, including development of tools

  • Manage and communicate tradeoffs between internal teams and our suppliers to meet the business needs within MSFT

  • Responsible for managing continuous improvements and process initiatives in parallel to day-to-day business operations.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Ops/Industrial /Manufacturing Engineering, Business, or related technology degree.

  • 7+ years technology-related supply chain, operations, supplier management, sourcing and manufacturing, or related experience.

  • Expert Level in the use of MRP, Excel, Power Point, PBI, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 years working experience in Operations Supply Planning

  • Minimum of 7+ years’ experience in electronics, telecommunications, and/or information technologies in a supply chain supporting of hardware or software

  • Experience in project or program management with proven track record of successfully setting up and executing supply chain operational processes

  • Extensive experience in leading cross functional internal and external global teams for supply chain operations

  • Cloud / high tech supply chain experience is a plus

  • Knowledge supply planning disciplines and best practices

  • Experience with supply chain analytics and modeling techniques

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to synthesize and report out both verbally and in writing

  • Strong influencing skills and ability to build strong relationships across multiple layers in the organization

  • Distinctive analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to implement and drive continuous improvement actions to gain efficiencies in a matrix environment

  • Proven capabilities in operating in a growing, fast-paced, results-oriented environment

  • Experience with SAP IBP Supply Planning or similar supply planning tools such as Kinaxis, SAP-IBP, Oracle Cloud Planning, etc. is desirable.

  • Proficient with business tools (e.g. word, excel modeling, power point slides) and able to generate quality outputs

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
