JOB SUMMARY:

This position performs invoice payment processing and validation activities for the Contract Management Team. If you enjoy reviewing documents for accuracy and completeness, and being an integral part of a team, this may be the position for you. Your duties would include:

  • Coordinating the invoice payment process with internal and external customers

  • Compiling and analyzing data, determining effectiveness, and recommending next appropriate action

  • Serving as liaison to internal and external partners; maintaining open communication and working relationships; solving problems and making recommendations

  • Entering data using Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook, and state systems

  • Timely documenting receipt of invoices from contractors on the invoice document, and in the invoice database

  • Reviewing supporting documentation, reports, and databases to validate accuracy of invoices

  • Managing the invoice approval process in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with state and federal law and DOR policy and procedures

  • Routing accurate invoices, including application supporting documentation and completed required forms to Operational Accounting

  • Timely and accurately update all databases for each invoice processed during the month

  • Providing excellent customer service, maintaining a professional demeanor and striving for continual improvement.

  • Expressing and exchanging information effectively, timely and professionally

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • One year of experience reviewing, interpreting, and applying laws, rules regulations, policies and procedures as related to fiscal responsibility.

  • One year of experience reviewing documents for accuracy.

  • One year of experience entering data into computer systems

  • One year of experience preparing and submitting formal and informal reports to management.

  • One year of experience communicating with management and external partners.

  • One year of experience creating, modifying, and reviewing documents using Microsoft Word and Excel.

    PREFERENCES:

  • Preference will be given to applicants with experience reviewing invoices for accuracy in a business environment.

  • Experience using CAMS.

  • Experience using Adobe Acrobat Pro.

    SPECIAL NOTES:

  • This position is part-time telework eligible after training and an acceptable level of proficiency is reached

  • A skills verification test (SVT) will be administered to determine eligible applicants for interview.

    SALARY: $44,060.16 - $60,927.48.
