Description We are in search of a Systems Administrator to be a part of our team in Tallahassee, Florida. The role involves managing Microsoft Azure DevOps environments, analyzing Azure resource performance, and maintaining technical specifications, standards, and systems documentation. This job offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Administer and optimize Microsoft Azure DevOps (ADO) environment and pipelines

• Conduct performance analysis of Azure resources to identify resource contention and recommend changes or upgrades as needed

• Develop and maintain technical specifications, standards, procedures, and systems documentation

• Install and maintain applications on Azure resources and assist development staff with access

• Troubleshoot and resolve Windows and Linux server issues with minimal user impact

• Write PowerShell scripts to monitor server properties and perform ADO activities

• Administer DevOps security for OIT staff and users

• Research and recommend technical solutions to meet functional requirements

• Provide recommendations for process improvements within the infrastructure team

• Develop system test plans to ensure software meets design criteria

• Deploy and maintain Azure resources and other cloud technologies

• Design architecture for integrating core infrastructure technologies in support of enterprise applications

• Perform risk assessments of existing and new technology deployments

• Monitor cloud and on-premises resources to verify integrity and availability

• Troubleshoot operational issues, escalate as appropriate, and offer solutions

• Collaborate with application development, network security, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration within the production environment

• Utilize automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or a similar tool

• Keep current on new technologies and advancements in current technologies

• Build, maintain, and monitor configuration standards

• Build and test automation tools for infrastructure provisioning

• Handle code deployments in all environments

• Monitor metrics and develop strategies for improvement Requirements • Possess strong customer service skills

• Excellent communication and documentation abilities

• Experience in training and planning

• Familiarity with procedures and policy compliance

• Proficient in Microsoft products

• Ability to conduct research and manage databases

• Knowledge of Human Resources (HR) Administration

• Experience with 'About Time' software

• Capable of providing workstation support

• Experience in auditing and security

• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues

• Understanding of regulations and calendar management

• Experience in implementation of systems and practices

• Knowledge of JavaScript

• Ability to conduct metric reporting

• Strong communication skills

• Experience with optimization techniques
