The role you’ll contribute:

The Central Service Manager is responsible for directing, controlling and coordinating all activities within the Central Sterile Department. Directs and evaluates all personnel assigned according to Hospital nursing and unit philosophy and objectives. Serves as a resource person guiding staff in the policies / guidelines concerning conduct, dress code, and goals and objectives.

· Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills directed toward customer satisfaction. Functions as a preceptor for team members.

· Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Central Sterile Department

· Assist with the yearly merit evaluation process of Central Sterile Department staff

· Interview and consider potential new hires for employment

· Monitors all inventory levels for supplies; orders replacements using auto reports generated, daily and/or as needed. Looks ahead at surgical schedules to ensure supplies are at adequate levels for procedures booked.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed :

· Associate’s Degree in healthcare or business related field

· One year of lead or supervisory experience

· Medical terminology understanding

· IAHCSMM CRCST Certification or CBSPD or CSPM certification acquired within 1 year.
