Overview
We are seeking a skilledDiesel Mechanic with ASC609 Certificationto join our team. The ideal candidate not only possesses expert knowledge in diesel engine systems but also demonstrates leadership capabilities to oversee a small team of technicians.
Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair diesel engines, including electrical and mechanical systems.
Perform routine maintenance on diesel engines, such as oil changes, lubrications, and inspections.
Use diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot complex engine issues.
Ensure compliance with ASC609 standards and regulations regarding refrigerant handling.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior mechanics and apprentices.
Coordinate workflow and prioritize tasks to maximize efficiency and meet deadlines.
Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities.
Collaborate with parts and equipment suppliers to source necessary components.
Uphold safety standards and protocols in all repair and maintenance tasks.
Keep abreast of advancements in diesel engine technology and industry trends.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic, with ASC609 Certification.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to lead a team effectively.
Proficiency in diagnostic tools and software for diesel engines.
Knowledge of diesel engine components, systems, and operations.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Commitment to safety protocols and regulations.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
High school diploma or equivalent - Vocational or technical certification is a plus.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Previous experience repairing/maintaining box trucks and diesel pickup trucks.
