Verdantas is seeking a talented Field Technician to join our team in the Orlando, FL office.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversight of contractors for investigation and remedial programs

  • Conducting operation & maintenance activities for environmental remediation systems

  • Collect samples using a variety of sampling methods. follow regulatory handling and preservation protocols for various sample media and deliver samples to an environmental laboratory

  • Completion of field documentation in a timely manner, such as job safety analysis (JSA) forms, project field reports, field notes, soil, concrete, and asphalt datasheets, monitoring, sampling, and chain-of-custody forms

  • Review, understand and interpret project plans and specifications, shop drawings, product data, RFIs, and change orders

  • Perform scheduled tests, observations, and inspections in accordance with applicable test procedures and project requirements

  • Conduct soil and groundwater sampling in support of scientific evaluations

  • Awareness and emphasis on personal and third-party safety through adhering to all Company safety rules and OSHA regulations, including attendance at all required safety training programs

  • Schedule maintenance for company vehicles and equipment

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Associates Degree preferred

  • 2-5 years of experience with maintaining mechanical equipment (pumps, motors, vehicles) or experience with installing piping (PVC, PEX, Iron, etc.)

  • Capable of working Primarily in an outdoor work environment and occasional office environment

  • Must be able to carry up to 50 lbs. regularly and up to 80 lbs. occasionally with or without accommodation, sometimes over substantial distances

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license

  • Must be able to travel for extended periods of time, on occasions

  • OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER certification preferred

  • Must be able to obtain security clearance
