Position Overview :

Join our revenue cycle team in a full-time phone triage and administrative support position. The Patient Services Representative is an important part of the administration team.

This hybrid role is based out of the Tampa office. The work environment includes alternating weeks in office and working remote.

Responsibilities :

This role has two buckets of primary responsibilities including answering and routing a high-volume of incoming phone calls, supply ordering, and other miscellaneous administrative tasks while providing crucial support as a member of our Revenue Cycle team by addressing caller’s billing or insurance inquiries, processing patient payments, and overseeing incoming and outgoing mail responsibilities. 

  • Route incoming phone calls to appropriate party

  • Sort, Scan and distribute incoming mail including patient and insurer payments, payor correspondence, and returned statement mail

  • Manage and order supplies for office and field staff

  • Manage outgoing mail and shipping including the generation of collection letters

  • Assist with various administrative tasks as needed

  • Process payment(s) on behalf of patient or patient representative 

  • Generate printed claim materials, process and mail

    Schedule will be Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm & Friday 8am-3pm (no evenings or weekends)

    Qualifications :

    Education/Certification/Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Previous phone experience preferred, but not required

    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Knowledge or an understanding of healthcare documents and patient care notes preferred, but not required

  • Knowledge or understanding of insurance, billing or collections best practices preferred, but not required 

  • Detail oriented and accurate

  • Collaborates effectively within team setting with clinical and non-clinical staff

  • Ability to deal with change and ambiguity

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Computer proficient, 45+ WPM typing

  • Demonstrated compatibility with Bluestone’s mission and operating philosophies

  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
