Job Description

Insight Global is hiring a Project Accountant for one of our Engineering consultant and construction services clients in Tampa, FL 33609. This accountant will oversee client invoicing and payments to suppliers for both the engineering and construction project accounting teams. For the engineering side, they will work alongside a team of 5 Project Accountants, managing a high volume of projects for invoicing on a daily basis. The accounting software used is Oracle.

Engineering Project Accounting Responsibilities:

Responsible for client invoicing, collections management and project budgeting, as well as backup assistance on coding and processing A/P, time sheets, and expense reports. Must work directly with multiple project managers to understand how to bill the client, and understand the invoicing & financial impacts based on the forecasting of the projects for engineering side.

Construction project Accounting Responsibilities:

This will be more of a support role; will assist the primary person handling the construction project account work. The construction projects will be sub invoice heavy, as their largest end customer is FDOT. This person will assist with ensuring the timecards submitted have accurate associated project codes, explanation of work per hour worked, etc. for accurate invoicing to end client. And other work as assigned.

Skills and Requirements

Associates degree

2+ years of Project Accounting or General Accounting/Bookkeeping experience within the construction or engineering consultant industry.

Experience invoicing multiple events

Strong Excel experience - Can create invoice templates and understand what the formulas mean to look for errors

Can work independently

Effectively communicate with PM's and cross functional teams Bachelor's degree in Accounting

Oracle

Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) null
