Are you ready to kickstart your career in software engineering and make an impact on real-world solutions? Join us as a Summer Trainee in Software Engineering, where you’ll work alongside talented developers to optimize container flows for fully automated terminals operating around the globe.

This is your chance to gain hands-on experience, learn from experts, and contribute to software that truly matters. If the summer trainee period goes well, we’d be happy to explore opportunities for thesis topics or part-time work with you.

Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Write and develop software using F# within a collaborative team environment

  • Contribute to optimizing container flows in fully automated terminals used worldwide

  • Learn and apply best practices in software development

  • Collaborate in a team that values fresh ideas and open communication

  • Participate in real-world projects that deliver meaningful results.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Studies in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Automation, Mathematics, or a related field

  • Experience or a strong interest in learning functional programming and F#

  • Problem-solving and teamwork skills

  • A passion for learning and trying new things

  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git

  • Communication skills in English and/or Finnish.
