Job Description

Be part of the local procurement team of LEGO Manufacturing Vietnam and ensure that procurement get embedded into the new organization.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing : To Understand the business needs and provides supply and sourcing strategies in compliance with product specifications and Category requirements.

  • Negotiation & Cost analysis: To drive quotes and cost analysis and breakdown for negotiation, price adjustments by cost drivers and to create a healthy competitiveness environment. Working with Cost Engineering to gain further cost transparency.

  • Risk Management: To Identify, manage, and communicate risks by leading action plans to avoid/mitigate potential impacts from own area and linked to internal customers points of connection, Business Continuity Plans in place for Direct suppliers.

  • Supplier Relationship Management (SRM): To lead Supplier Relationship Account by developing, evaluating and with a continuous improvement approach to the Vendors as responsible for Direct Materials ( Packaging & Raw materials )

  • Market & key indicators tracking : To analyze industry, economic and financial key indicators along with legal conditions to track actual & projected trends that influence on price variance factors to estimate impacts and drive actions to mitigate them.

  • Productivity & Continuous Improvement : To drive productivity and efficiency initiatives internally and with suppliers, providing saving to the business and workload reduction. Contribution to Partner for Productivity Programme.

  • KPI performance : Drive local, global stakeholder management and team’s KPI Execution. Ability to influence the stakeholders and supply-base to drive the best outcome for LEGO.

  • Stakeholder Management : Provide active leadership and influencing among stakeholder, finance and suppliers to drive companywide cost initiatives in the Direct ( BOM ) spends. Drive strong collaboration with local stakeholders, regional and or other site teams for any opportunities.

  • Ambassadors of compliance : Responsible for local governance and compliance progress in RBP, FSC our sustainable agenda and environment agenda.

This position exists to manage all the commercial aspects with LEGO Suppliers to ensure the supply of Direct materials to the factory on time and with the right level of quality agreed with our internal customers and stakeholders.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Business Management with preferable focus on Supply chain, Legal or Finance

  • 5+ years of experience within Procurement processes specially on direct categories.

  • Experience in participating in Complex Projects impacting the organization within direct and productivity areas.

  • Global and local collaboration environment experience

Hard skills:

  • MS Office apps (Excel in intermediate level mainly)

  • Procurement skills: Category management background, Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), Negotiation knowledge.

  • Continuos Improvement Management : Tools and methodologies applied in day to day business activities (Process Mapping, PDCA, System Map, Strategy Deployment, solving problem tools, etc.)

  • Decision Making: asses situation, search for alternatives and reach best outcome in best time with right application of tools to visualize analysis and selection of resolution (RAID tool)

  • Stakeholder Management : knowing processes and tools to classified and map stakeholders for a better communication strategy and set good relationships.

  • Risk Management : analytical risk assessment tools management in order to set contingency actions towards achieving tasks or avoid impacts.

  • Prioritization and goal setting management
