WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and improving the performance of our mechanical systems and machinery. This role requires a hands-on approach to troubleshooting, repairing, and upgrading mechanical equipment to ensure optimal operation and minimize downtime. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude toward maintenance and safety.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

Experiences & Qualifications

  • Preventive Maintenance: Develop and execute preventive maintenance plans for all mechanical equipment to ensure continuous and efficient production operations.

  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues promptly to minimize production downtime. This includes troubleshooting failures in conveyors, packaging machines, mixers, and other production equipment.

  • Repairs and Upgrades: Conduct timely repairs and necessary upgrades on mechanical systems, ensuring minimal impact on production schedules. Implement modifications to enhance equipment performance and reliability.

  • Inspections: Perform regular inspections of mechanical equipment to identify potential issues and address them before they result in equipment failure.

  • Maintenance Scheduling: Collaborate with the production team to create and maintain an effective maintenance schedule that aligns with production needs and minimizes disruption.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repair logs, and parts inventory. Ensure documentation is up to date and accessible.

  • Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.

  • Equipment Installation: Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment. Ensure all installations meet operational and safety standards.

  • Technical Support: Provide technical support and training to production operators and other maintenance personnel. Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including root cause analysis, to identify opportunities for improving equipment reliability and production efficiency.

  • Spare Parts Management: Manage the inventory of spare parts and tools required for maintenance tasks. Ensure critical spare parts are available to avoid production delays.

  • Emergency Response: Respond to emergency breakdowns and perform on-call duties as required to support 24/7 production operations.

  • BSc in Mechanical Engineering

  • Minimum 2-3 years of mechanical Maintenance experience, undertaking responsibility ideally in a multinational environment.

  • Preferably experience in FMCG,

  • Knowledge of mechanical systems used in FMCG production, including hydraulics, pneumatics, packaging machines, and conveyors.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with professionals of all organizational levels

  • Advanced user of MS Office applications

  • Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Technical Drawings and AutoCad knowledge

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

  • Living (or willing to live) in Corlu.
