Google Software Engineer, Duplex Audio Layer in Tel Aviv-Yafo, Israel

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.

  • 2 years of experience in software development, and with data structures/algorithms.

  • 2 years of experience with design and architecture; and testing/launching software products.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with training and evaluating LLMs

  • Experience with Android application development.

  • Experience with building data pipelines for data ingestion, error correction and verification.

  • Experience with machine learning models - data collection, training and evaluating.

The Core team builds the technical foundation behind Google’s flagship products. We are owners and advocates for the underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure at Google. These are the essential building blocks for excellent, safe, and coherent experiences for our users and drive the pace of innovation for every developer. We look across Google’s products to build central solutions, break down technical barriers and strengthen existing systems. As the Core team, we have a mandate and a unique opportunity to impact important technical decisions across the company.

  • Design, train, and optimize state-of-the-art machine learning models that enable exceptional phone call communication experiences for Google users. Help achieve excellent performance benchmarks to ensure seamless integration into Google's ecosystem.

  • Create and maintain server-side and Android infrastructure to power the deployment of these ML models.

  • Collaborate with teams across Google to seamlessly integrate with existing products and uphold Google's privacy standards.

  • Design and develop APIs that enable other Google products to leverage Duplex's advanced capabilities, while expanding the reach and impact of Duplex across the Google ecosystem.

  • Partner with engineering and research teams across Google to advance the frontiers of Duplex technology.
