As an Electrical Engineer, you will:
Work within the Maritime Lifecycle Readiness group to provide engineering support to the United States Coast Guard

A week in the life of an Electrical Engineer
Design, develop, and evaluate the operation of marine vessels, ship machinery and related equipment
Support the USCG by reviewing third party design modifications and improvements to mechanical systems and components
Perform design reviews, evaluate constructability to help resolve technical issues
Manage information generated through the design and construction phases of multiple projects
Create graphical representations of structures
Inspect equipment systems
Research advanced engineering designs and applications
Job Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Engineering OR High School Diploma and 11+ years of relevant experience
Ability to obtain a secret clearance.
At least 6+ years of experience in:
Progressively responsible experience in Marine Exterior Ships Communications
Marine systems, electrical systems, machinery control systems, power generation, distribution systems or interior communication systems.
Knowledge of U.S. Navy Power Distribution Architectures.
Familiarity with USN, USCG, ABS and/or commercial ship design rules and regulations.

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $106,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
