Job Description
Abbott Vascular provides innovative, minimally invasive and cost-effective products for treatment of vascular disease. Our extensive portfolio includes drug-eluting stents, bare metal stents, guide wires, balloon dilatation catheters, imaging catheters and software, vessel closure devices and peripheral stents.
Our location in Temecula , CA , currently has an opportunity for a Associate Engineer Supplier
Primary engineering support for receiving inspection processes and material non-conformances. Drives improvement and corrective action in the quality of components sourced from outside suppliers to eliminate recurrence of non-conformances. Monitors supplier performance to drive supplier corrective action, manufacturing yield issues and field failures.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Maintains incoming inspection procedures.
Trains inspectors to these procedures.
Develops and/or sources inspection tools and equipment.
Assists in generating component specifications.
Analyzes incoming material defects.
Dispositions and drives corrective action as necessary.
Communicates issues to suppliers.
Work to resolve supplier technical issues in a timely manner to ensure continuity of supply.
Investigates field failures related to supplier materials.
Develop corrective action plan where necessary.
Develop long term supplier relationships and generate and implement cost reduction ideas.
Begins developing a network of internal resources to facilitate completion of tasks.
Individual influence is typically exerted at the peer level.
Completes daily work to meet established schedule with guidance from supervisor on prioritization of tasks.
May exercise authority within pre-established limits and approval.
Failure to achieve results can normally be overcome without serious effect on schedules and programs.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING
Required
Bachelors Degree in related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
0-2 years of related work experience with a basic understanding of specified functional area.

The base pay for this position is $48,000.00 – $96,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
