Job Title: Hand Solder Technician (1st shift and 2nd shift)
Job Description
Perform repetitive or standard hand solder production assembly operations on electronic assemblies and subassemblies.
Responsibilities
Hand solder on PCBs
Hand soldering SMT/TH/wires and cables using a microscope
Inspect own work for defects
Touchup/Rework on through hole and SMT assemblies
Route jumpers
Replace parts as needed or directed
Inspect product using a microscope
Comply with and follow all processes and procedures within the company policy
Essential Skills
Familiarity with IPC-A-610 standards (Class 3)
Basic Component ID Certification
Ability to follow documentation and procedures
Select correct equipment, tools, and supplies for jobs
Knowledge of materials: Alloys and Flux types
Ability to read and comprehend English
Ability to work with a microscope
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Ability to perform repetitive or standard production assembly operations on electronic assemblies and subassemblies
Knowledge of component prep and manual insertion of electrical components onto Printed Circuit Boards
Ability to perform mechanical assembly of small electrical components
Ability to use epoxy and RTV or any adhesives as needed (odorless and non-toxic)
Basic math skills
Ability to recognize and distinguish colors
Ability to read and write English

Work Environment
4 Hand Solder positions available for either 1st or 2nd shift. The role involves working with a PCB Manufacturer that produces high-quality boards used in drills that go a mile below the ground. Must be okay with a significant amount of overtime after training is complete, including weekends. The employee will be working in a clean room environment and must wear a full bunny suit with foot covers, mouth covers, gloves, and hair net. Employees cannot wear makeup, fake nails, or nail polish. Close-toed shoes and pants are required. Shifts: 1st - 6AM to 2:30PM and 2nd - 2PM to 11:00PM.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tempe, Arizona.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00
