Southland Industries Sr Recruiter- Construction in Tempe, Arizona

POSITION SUMMARY

As a Senior Recruiter at Southland Industries, you will play a vital role in our company's growth by identifying, sourcing, and engaging top talent to join our team. You will leverage your expertise in sourcing, interviewing, and evaluating candidates to identify top talent and drive the recruitment process from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in recruiting within the construction industry, strong leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent and meet hiring goals.

  • Lead the full recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and providing guidance and advice for developing winning offers.

  • Source candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, passive searches, internal talent communities, and employee referrals.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and priorities.

  • Live the ‘People-First’ Southland brand by providing a world-class candidate experience.This includes communicating effectively with candidates throughout the recruitment process, and providing timely updates and feedback.

  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in recruitment and talent acquisition.

  • Analyze recruitment metrics and provide insights to improve recruitment processes and outcomes for the roles/career disciplines you are responsible for.

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition, HR, and business leadership to understand current state of the business and forecasted talent needs to help develop and deploy strategic recruiting plans.

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in recruitment, with a focus on full lifecycle recruiting, specifically within the Construction industry.

  • Ability to “talk the same language” and partner with hiring managers to best understand needs, using that to effectively sell opportunities to candidates.

  • Strong knowledge of recruitment tools and techniques including passive recruiting, Boolean searching, and cold calling.

  • Excellent salesmanship and ability to “close the deal”

  • Proven track record of successfully filling positions across various functions and levels.

  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Must be a self-starter and take initiative to identify improvements- we are always looking for ways to be better, faster, stronger

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment tools.

  • Strategic mindset with the ability to think creatively and solve problems effectively.

  • Must be willing to travel to our Mid-Atlantic office in Dulles, VA monthly
