Description
Amazon’s Transportation Execution & Systems Team is seeking a Transportation Analyst to join a team that identifies, creates, develops and integrates innovative solutions that lead to improvements in our North American transportation network. Amazon transportation encompasses all of the operations that deliver worldwide shipments to and from our fulfillment centers and third party locations. The Transportation Analyst will be responsible to design, develop, and improve our transportation systems.
Key job responsibilities
Communicate analysis and insights to stakeholders and business leaders, both verbally and in writing
Create and maintain tools and reports that support both Senior leadership as well as Operators at the site level
Manage multiple ongoing priorities and closely adhere to internal team and stakeholder SLAs
Design new metrics and enhance existing metrics to support the future state of business processes and ensure sustainability and scalability
Enable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources in order to provide visibility to pending changes
Drive continuous improvement by identifying ways to streamline processes and reduce waste sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format
Maintain/update internal documentation for internal training and reference

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Work 40 hours/week, and overtime as required
Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
1+ years of working with computers and Microsoft Office products and applications experience
1+ years of data analysis and formula creation in Microsoft Excel experience
Intermediate proficiency in Excel, including the use of pivot tables & charts and vlookup
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with end-to-end project management
Bachelor's degree in operations, supply chain or logistics
2+ years work experience in logistics/transportation industry
Experience using SQL and/or Python
Advanced proficiency in Excel, including the use of VBA, Macros, and merging datasets
Data management & data quality control experience with knowledge pulling and analyzing large sets of data
Experience in manufacturing, transportation, customer service, and/or distribution environments
Experience using data to understand root cause of issues and improve processes to prevent recurrence
Experience working independently in a fast-paced environment
Experience communicating professionally and effectively with cross-functional stakeholders
