The Area of Management in the Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech University invites applications for a full-time, 9-month Visiting Assistant Professor of Management position to begin in August of 2024. Candidates will be expected to teach face-to-face courses at the Lubbock, TX campus.

At Texas Tech University, the Visiting Assistant Professor title designates a full-time, non-tenure-acquiring role with primary duties in teaching organized classes and/or instructional labs. In line with TTU’s strategic priorities to engage and empower a diverse student body, applicants should have experience working with diverse student populations at the undergraduate level.

About the College:

The Jerry S. Rawls College of Business Administration is AACSB accredited and houses the School of Accounting that holds separate AACSB accreditation. The college offers the BBA degree with majors in accounting, energy commerce, finance, information technology, management, marketing, and supply chain management. Several formats of the MBA program are offered in fulltime, weekend, and online modalities in Lubbock, the Dallas/Fort Worth area, Houston, and San Antonio. The College offers MS degrees in accounting, data science, finance, and marketing research and analytics. A Ph.D. in business administration is offered with tracks in accounting, finance, management, management information systems, and marketing. With a faculty of over 140 and a staff that exceeds 80, the college enrolls over 5,000 undergraduate and 800 graduate students.

About the Department/School/Area:

The Area of Management currently has over 25 faculty members and 13 doctoral students, who publish research in top journals in the field and are award‐winning subject‐matter experts in diversity, entrepreneurship, family business, human resource management, leadership, organizational behavior, organization theory, and strategic management. The Area takes pride in teaching excellence, and faculty members have been awarded various teaching awards.

Faculty Qualifications:

Candidates must hold a doctorate in management or a related field. ABD candidates are encouraged to apply if all doctoral degree requirements will be completed by August 2024.

Specific experience or demonstrate ability to teach face-to-face courses in entrepreneurship and/or international management.
