A company in The Woodlands is looking for a Learning and Development Specialist to join their team on a temp, possible temp to hire opportunity. This will be an in-office role working Monday-Friday. Candidates must have a minimum of 1-3 years of training and development experience with a great upbeat and friendly personality! Experience in the banking/finance industry is preferred. Description

The Learning and Development Specialist I is responsible for the development and maintenance of training materials in accordance with current processes and procedures in partnership with subject matter experts across the organization

Key Responsibilities:

• Develops, maintains, and delivers training solutions, including courses and materials such as forms, quick reference guides and on-the-job workbooks_

• Assists with compiling and reviewing communications such as internal employee publications and external customer education pieces.

• Assigns training and provides reporting related to the completion status of required trainings.

• Assists in the administration of the Learning Management System.

• Actively participates in bank approved volunteer events and community activities as a representative of the bank

• Performs other job related duties or special projects as assigned

Requirements • Must have a solid understanding of human resources administrative functions

• Proficient in employee relations and in-service training

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential

• Must have excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics

• Ability to create and implement strategies and systems

• Must be able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively

• Should possess strong leadership qualities

• Must have a keen eye for detail with excellent problem-solving skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred

• Prior experience in an HR role is preferred but not mandatory

• Knowledge of HR laws and regulations would be advantageous

• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding payroll, benefits, and employee issues

• Outstanding organizational and stress management skills

• Expected to be adept at problem-solving, including being able to identify issues and resolve them in a timely and efficient manner

• Must have an approachable demeanor and a strong dedication to providing excellent service to management and staff.
