Description
Robert Half is currently working with a client seeking a Tax Accountant or Manager and the title will depend on experience. The Tax Accountant or Manager will work with financial and income tax statements, making sure that they comply with tax laws by filing their federal and state tax returns. Your responsibilities in this role
Determine legal tax savings and generate ways to improve profits
Accurately assemble annual and quarterly tax reports
Find tax solutions to complicated tax issues or errors from incorrect tax filings
Advise management about the impact of tax liabilities and corporate strategies or new tax laws
Prepare tax provisions schedules, returns, payments, reports and maintain a company's tax database
Maintain good industry knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, participating in professional organizations, keeping up with professional networks and reading professional publications
Coordinate outsourced tax preparation work
Make sure that clients comply with federal, state and local tax regulations
Requirements
Skilled at time management
2+ years of public tax
Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing
Must be a creative thinker and have strong problem-solving skills
Exceptional organizational skills
Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
Bachelors or masters degree in Accounting or relevant field required
CPA highly preferred
