Management Trainee Core Competencies

This section lists the core business-critical skills, knowledge, and behavior applicable to all Management Trainees.

 

  •  Self-initiated in Management Trainee Program

     

Management trainee must be energetic, hardworking and possess an ability to learn quickly and act with minimal supervision. Active participate in the MT program to go through a year learning the fundamental aspects of what works to make Expeditors one of the largest premier customer-focused logistics organization in the industry.  Working through, by, and with local, and regional leaders in all GEOs, MTs gain critical on-the-job experience while learning basic management, organizational and leadership skills.

 

  • Attention in details to the process and standard

     

Attention in details through observing and training with experience staff to learn about the standards, procedures and methods used to be effective within each department. Familiarize with Expeditors’ products, processes and standard with an aim to fulfill the Company’s human resources needs for business development to achieve the growth and profit objectives of the Company.

 

  • Effective Collaboration work within

Assist managers and/or district in initiating different projects assigned by management to meet our company’s strategic initiatives and enablers, supporting management to drive peak employee engagement and district performance. This includes but not limit to participating in MT projects, market studies, cohort calls review and/or other district initiatives projects.

 

 

Job-Specific Tasks and Duties

  • To understanding various product, functional and management training within Branch.

  • To get familiarized with Expeditors’ culture, structure, products, systems, policies and procedures, workflow and standards.

  • To develop knowledge base and skill sets necessary for future management assignment.

  • To assist in safeguarding daily operation in full compliance with quality management.

  • To perform additional duties and projects as assigned by the management to meet the branch and regional development needs and objectives.

  • University graduate with minimum 3 years’ relevant experience or Formal Secondary School graduate with minimum 5 years’ relevant experience

  • Global logistics industry knowledge

  • Good computer skills (e.g., MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint)
