The Equipment Operator and Laborer will be responsible for operating a variety of equipment used in the construction, maintenance, and repair of asphalt surfaces. This role will also involve manual labor tasks such as preparing job sites, loading and unloading materials, and assisting with paving operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy equipment including pavers, rollers, skid steers, and backhoes.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
• Assist in the preparation of job sites, including grading, leveling, and setting forms.
• Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment.
• Perform manual labor tasks such as shoveling asphalt, raking, and compacting surfaces.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to complete projects efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications:

• Some experience operating heavy equipment in the asphalt or construction industry (preferred but not required).
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; CDL is a plus.
• Knowledge of asphalt paving techniques and materials (preferred but not required).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications (preferred but not required).
• Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and environments.
