We are looking for a candidate to join us in an Associate role within the Aladdin Client Transformation team with 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
Your team:
Aladdin Client Transformations is responsible for the installation and deployment of Aladdin, eFront and related products and services, globally. Aladdin transformations are high profile initiatives where major clients are undergoing Operating Model changes and as such, these Implementation Projects have senior level exposure and play an active role in redefinition of investment organisations. A typical transformation project is at least as much about people, processes and implementing change as it is about investments & technology.
We help clients achieve ambitious strategic objectives, which range from streamlining investment operations to integrating teams, unifying their investment analytics & risk reporting framework, to modernizing their overall investment process. Aladdin’s transformation offering means that we take full responsibility for the client going live on our solution. It also means that we develop true partnerships with our clients at the most senior levels, which continue to grow post go live.
We are seeking a talented individual to join Aladdin Client Transformations in Asia Pacific, as a Project Manager within our Execution Practice. Our Execution Practice is committed to setting new Project Execution standards for Aladdin and eFront implementations. If you are ready to be part of a fast-growing team within the Aladdin Business and drive the expansion of our Execution Practice, this opportunity is for you! This position is based in Tokyo.
You will be responsible for leading a team of consultants, architects, analysts, and business users to safely deliver large and medium and projects, delivering solutions to meet client requirements on time, to budget and to the required quality.
Your responsibilities:
Active management of internal project plans, scope, resourcing, budgets, risks, issues, actions, and decisions using standard tools supported by the partner teams.
Responsible for managing client-side project delivery risk – ensuring that client activities on which Aladdin tasks are dependent are completed to meet baseline milestones as captured in a joint Aladdin/Client project plan.
Responsible for the planning and coordination of all project activities to adhere to the critical path as defined in the baselined project plan.
Responsible for the successful delivery of Aladdin products by delivery team members: to quality / on time / on budget
Responsible for the management of Project Change Control
Management of Risks and Issues – both internal and external
Responsible for daily/weekly project reporting
Chairing project working groups / attending Steering Committees
Active project resource tracking and booking
Project budget / finance tracking (e.g., protection of margin / travel budget & expenses tracking)
Your experience:
3-5 years of relevant work experience
Excellent organizational and communication Skills
Fluency in Japanese and business proficiency in English
Ability to manage several competing priorities with a hands-on approach.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Superior communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts simply and clearly to internal team members or clients.
Logical, structured thought processes and good problem-solving skills
Experience of working with global teams and stakeholders and sensitivity to cultural differences and time zones
Prior experience as a Project Manager advantageous.
Recognized Project Management Certification advantageous (PMP/PRINCE2 etc.)
Experience of Project Management toolsets and processes advantageous
Ability to create and maintain strong relationships with internal and external project stakeholders at all levels and can build consensus and positively influence outcomes.
Excellent Project Delivery methodology knowledge / practical application of formal methodologies
Excellent Risk, Issue, Action, Decision and Assumption Management
Excellent budgeting, forecasting, maintenance, reporting and management skills.
Experience of working with global colleagues and stakeholders and sensitivity to cultural differences and time zones
Desirable: Good understanding of the Asset Management industry and Alternatives Business – Front to Back Workflows and Datasets
Desirable: Experience/Awareness of PMS/OMS, Trading Platforms, and Market Data
