The Assistant Brand Manager will support Marketing program executions with the support of the Brand Manager. He/she also assists implementing sales strategy to meet established sales or market share targets that will improve Diageo’s competitive position locally.

[Top 3-5 Accountabilities]

  • Assist the strategy that drives transformational growth

  • Assist brand manager to lead the localization and implementation of Global strategies, setting the brands up for continued growth. Analyze and provide insightful data of consumer / commercial to support BM decision making.

  • Assist BM to deploy market leading communications

  • Assist BM to develop and execute the local connections strategy and communication plans across the portfolio of brands

  • Operational task: Payment process support (Placing order on system / service receipt confirmation)

[Duties and responsibilities]

  • Assist in developing brand(s) strategy - Under the supervision from Brand Manager.

  • Collect, compile, verify, and analyze data on market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activity to identify market opportunities for the product/service and data on product performance and customer feedback to identify product/service features that need to be changed to meet customer needs.

  • Maintain records of sales volume, revenues, and advertising costs and analyze them against forecasts to identify areas where the sales performance of the product/service needs to be improved.

  • Assist in developing annual brand(s) goal and action plan (ATL plan, promotion plan etc.)

  • Develop knowledge of the organization's products, services, and customers by working closely with more experienced brand/marketing managers.

  • The Assistant Brand Manager will be required to build strong collaborative relationships with Customer Marketing responsible and Sales, paying particular attention to the sales for growth opportunities and build strong commercial plans that win with customers, consumers and shoppers.

  • He/she must influence internal stakeholders and external agencies to make them feel like an extension of the brand through inspiration, respect, and clear functional expertise.

  • Coordinate/liaise advertising agencies and suppliers - providing professional and technical marketing communications expertise to handle advertising, PR and /or promotional activities.

What we expect from you

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in brand management/marketing/customer marketing/trade marketing, premium consumer goods experience is plus

  • Creative in event/initiatives design, planning and execution

  • Experienced in budget planning and management

  • Analytical thinking, data trend analysis, insight generation

  • Requires basic financial understanding on P&L and value chain

  • A good team player. Our successful candidate will work well in a team and have strong interpersonal and communication skills to influence both internal and external teams

  • Self-motivated and willingness to push the boundary and hold others’ accountability

  • Ability to work in diverse environment with strong cross functional communication ability

  • Digital marketing: planning and execution experience, preferred

  • Proficiency in English required
