WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

This role will be leaned on as the functional expert within Operations for the use of the scheduling systems, managing labor cost to meet payroll budgets and operational assessments. You will be responsible to deliver deep dive analysis, manage workload planning and partner with finance to create store labor budgets.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

This role is required to have strong communication skills to become the hub of cross functional work. Leading communication in meetings with teams such as retail team, finance team and Asia Pacific Latin America (APLA) will be required. To improve areas around labor and operational excellence, we are looking for a candidate who can help us find issues and work on problem solving proactively. Analysing skills and presentation skills are required to convince teams to drive projects and lead changes. This role will also require learning towards scheduling and forecasting tools which is mandatory to have interest towards technology as well.

  • A minimum of 2 years directly relevant work experience such as retail management, retail operations analysis, or finance experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, experience or training. Note: One of the following alternatives may be accepted: PhD or Law +1 yr; Masters + 0-3 yrs; Associates degree + 1-3 yrs; High School +3-5 yrs.

  • Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint or Keynote, and advanced expertise in Excel.

  • Store management or corporate experience in an operations capacity with general understanding of workforce management solutions (scheduling and forecasting tools).

  • Strong oral and written communications skills (in Japanese and English).

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

You will power the athletes in our stores who power the consumer experience by optimizing the integrated programs, platforms and procedures that bring the consumer and athlete journeys to life. You will drive operational excellence and consistency by partnering with the store leaders to monitor and drive operations in store.

  • Focus on driving continuous improvement in our stores around labor scheduling and operational excellence.

  • Maintain budget and expense control, particularly with regard to payroll, labor scheduling and labor systems.

  • Partner with the Finance team to determine budget and the Director of Stores to hold stores accountable.

  • Keep current on store scheduling and labor management systems and their functionality and drive day-to-day administration of Operational systems (Workforce Management, Operational Excellence) to ensure our tools remain up-to-date and optimized.

  • Be on point to implement new scheduling, staffing, workload planning and operational measurement capabilities.

  • Drive effective communication with stores and territory leadership teams.

  • Identify friction points and partner with Asia Pacific Latin America (APLA) Retail Operations team to improve processes and practices.
