Amazon Marketing Manager – Seller Training and Education, Seller Marketing in Tokyo, Japan

Description

One of the biggest drivers of growth in Amazon Japan? We are looking for a motivated, ambitious Seller Training and Education Marketing Manager to accelerate launches, feature adoption and opportunity awareness for sellers on Amazon throughout the entire customer journey. You will be responsible for aligning with global teams to ensure sellers understand the value proposition, key features and processes for sellers in the Japanese market, developing a clear training program that targets specific behaviors through a one-to-many Webinar model. This role will be measured through adoption targets, tracking and analyzing metrics such as attendance, engagement and feature adoption, optimizing performance to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

In this role, you will be expected to think analytically and problem solve in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and balance multiple and often conflicting priorities. You will communicate with peers doing a similar role as well as cross functionally, both domestically and internationally. You thrive in an ambiguous environment where you must develop, implement and iterate on business strategies to deliver growth and positive experience for Sellers. You are hands-on, detail oriented, and have relentlessly high standards.

Key job responsibilities

・Customize global seller education programs that focus on the value of seller’s taking specific actions that allow them to maximize their sales potential, from onboarding all the way through feature adoption.

・Develop training programs, partnering with sales, marketing account management, product and product marketing teams to create and develop a training roadmap, regularly engaging with third party and partner teams to regularly run one-to-many seller trainings, with a focus on shaping and modifying behaviors to improve Seller experience

・Create and manage goals and reporting to track conversion metrics to identify problems and act on improvement opportunities

・Identify and scale improvements that can benefit multiple Sellers, e.g. driving efficiencies through tools and processes, simplifying SOPs, improving Seller educational content, and identifying blockers in registration, while working with the relevant internal team members such as Marketing and Product Managers.

・Manage prioritization and trade-offs across Seller experience, performance, and operational load.

・Learn and share best practices with teams in Japan and internationally.

・Liaising and maintaining regular communication with key internal and external stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements

  • Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)

  • Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data

  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using customer research, hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, generate forecasts, and assess the efficacy of marketing programs

  • Experience utilizing systems and tools involving email (Pardot, Sonos), web, analytics, and CRM (Marketo, Tableau, Salesforce, etc.) for targeting, segmentation and reporting.

  • Experience conducting and executing training programs, including material creation as well as virtual training sessions.
