Want to make history in Payments for Amazon Japan? Please join our cross functional team dedicated to Japan that is building new technical capabilities for our customers locally and globally. We need to develop new architecture with innovative features and we’re looking for a top product manager who will focus on redeveloping Shop with Points to become a more innovative seamless customer experience shopping and paying on Amazon.co.jp.

This role will translate big ideas into a long-term roadmap that directly drives our vision to make it easy and trusted for customers to pay on Amazon with the best possible performance. You will directly impact large, scalable experiences at the cutting edge of payments technology and have a significant impact on our business and customer trust.

As a product management leader, you will be part of the larger technical leadership community at Amazon. This community forms the backbone of the company, plays a critical role in the broad business planning, works closely with senior executives to develop targets and milestones, influences our long-term technical and business strategy, helps us develop talented engineers and ultimately enables us to deliver innovative new solutions rapidly.

This leader will face an exciting opportunity to scale a global Payment Product and develop a new high impact experience for one of our most important 3-year goals. A successful candidate will bring deep technical expertise, strong business acumen and high judgment. It is critical that the successful candidate is able to effectively communicate with our global teams both written and verbally.

The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter that can work independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with limited supervision. They need to be a self-directed learner, who can quickly learn and bridge teams to drive progress even for nuanced Amazon Payments experiences. They will be analytical in their decision making with a demonstrated ability to drive issues to completion. Experience in the payments industry or fintech industry is preferred.

Position Responsibilities:

• Define and manage a distinct roadmap with changing requirements

• Responsible for identifying and leading work on most complex, large-scale products

• Quickly lead a tech plan to develop new architecture that can scale

• Guide and deliver results through others and mentor colleagues

• Play a critical role in JP Payments leadership team and business teams working closely with senior executives to develop big ideals and determine resource requirements

• Contribute to forming global, long-term product and business strategy goals

• Demonstrate creativity, the ability to navigate changes and high judgment, most of the time

• Understand business context to decisions made within and across groups

• Maintain a current understanding of industry and technology trends

• Contribute to Amazon's growth working directly for our customers

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Tokyo, 13, JPN

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelors in engineering, CS, or related field, strong technical acumen required

• Minimum 10+ years of technical product management experience

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in databases and analytics

• Experience delivering large-scale product offerings where you are responsible for the full product lifecycle, from concept through GTM (go to market)

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA is a plus
